Blue Zones Project - Monterey County
April 16 at 11:38 AM · We are so impressed to witness the resiliency of the people and organizations we work with! The first Blue Zones Approved restaurant in Salinas, Main Street Bakery and Catering has created daily specials for take-out and delivery and each day, you can order a plant-based option! What is more, they have also created a "Pay It Forward" program. People can call the restaurant and buy a meal for those who are on the front lines or someone in need.
When someone buys a meal, it’s then fully paid for and ready for delivery or pick-up for anyone who needs it. This is not only a way to support Main Street Bakery to stay open, but it’s also a way to help those who are struggling. This week they have already received 2 donations of $25 and with those contribution, they will deliver some food to people in need on Friday morning.
